The Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union, offers a challenging and inspiring career in various branches as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer in the rank of Assistant Commandant at pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs 5400.
Unmarried Indian citizens of SC/ST category having following minimum qualifications are eligible to apply
Assistant Commandant
(a). General Duty

• Qualification : Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate of a university recognised by the Central/ State Govt./ UGC. Should have qualified 12th standard with Physics and Maths
• Age (Born Between) : 01 Jul 89 to 30 Jun 93 (both dates inclusive).

(b). Technical branch (Mechanical/ Electrical)

• Qualification : (i) Engineering degree with minimum 55 % marks in aggregate or Should have passed sections A and B of Institute of Engineers (India) examination in any of the discipline listed below with minimum 55 % marks.
  •  Mechanical Branch Mechanical/ Naval architecture/ Marine/ Industrial and Production/ Metallurgy/ Mechatronics.
  •  Electrical Branch Electrical/ Electronics/ Power Engg/ Electronics and Communication/ Instrumentation and Controls/ Power Electronics/ Instrumentation Engg.
• Age (Born between) : 01 Jul 84 to 30 Jun 93 (both dates inclusive).
