Age Limit: Candidates age should not be more than 50 years for Post A, less than 40 years for Post B, less than 35 years for post C, D, less than 45 years for E, F, less than 35 years for Post G, less than 42 years for Post H, less than 32 years for Posts I, J and K as on 01-01-2013. Age relaxations are applicable as per the rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech for Posts A to C, Master degree and Second class Honors degree in the relevant subject with minimum of 55% marks for Post D to H and Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering of a recognized University or its equivalent for Post I, Master’s Degree in Statistics or Economics or Mathematics with specialization in Statistics for Post J and Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B. V. Sc. & A.H.) or Veterinary Science (B.V. Sc.) from a recognized University/ Institute for Post K.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on the performance in screening test/written test and interview.
Application Fee: Candidates has to pay the application fee of Rs.210/- (Rupees two hundred and ten) only by Postal Order and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees”. The Postal Orders should be made payable at G.P.O., Kolkata. Money Order, Cheque, Bank Draft, Cash etc. will not be accepted.  No application fee for Candidates belonging to S.C./S.T. ofWest Bengal and Persons with Disabilities specified under Persons with Disabilities.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format along with self attested copies of Madhyamik or equivalent, SC/ST/OBC certificates, mark sheets and certificates of each examination passes, experience certificate etc, two self-addressed unstamped envelopes and one self-addressed post card and application fee receipt, to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 by speed post or registered post or may also be submitted personally between 11:00 A M and 03:30 P. M on all working days on or before 10-12-2013.
